Today Show The Today Show, which aired on November 28, reported recent breakthroughs with HeartScan technology and featured the newest and highest technology - the 64-slice CT scan. Co-host, Matt Lauer underwent a 10-minute non-invasive cardiac scan that gives a complete view of the heart and the coronary arteries and vessels. This technology is a major breakthrough in diagnostic testing for heart disease and is totally non-invasive. This CT-scan is a 10 minute non-invasive scan that gives a complete view of the heart and the coronary arteries and vessels. The 64-slice CT scanner actually takes pictures in a very high resolution which can later be examined and interpreted by doctors looking for clogged arteries. Furthermore the doctors can determine the condition of the plague buildup in the
artery.
